Benefits of this Design System
Problem: Without a design system, The app's interface resulted in inconsistencies in visual styles, layouts, and interactions, making it more difficult to make updates to the design.
Solution: Developing a strong design system improved aspects like accessibility and stability. It also improves the user's experience to encourage adherence to medication, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.
Before & After
Having a clear and easy-to-use user interface, as well as the importance of incorporating user feedback and considering aspects like accessibility and stability. design system also plays an important role in creating a cohesive and consistent experience for the user. An app can look good visually without a well-thought-out design system, but it can still have issues. Without a design system, each element of an app's interface may be designed in isolation, resulting in inconsistencies in visual styles, layouts, and interactions. These inconsistencies can make the app feel disorganized and confusing for users. Additionally, without a design system, it can be more difficult to make updates or changes to an app's design, leading to a slower and more cumbersome design process.
Understanding scalability: If the app has to be scaled up, this allows maintaining a consistent design and UX/UI experience easier. Reduced confusion and errors or misunderstandings among users, which can negatively impact their overall experience and trust in the app. Revisions or updates to the app's design made easier to avoid, costly, and slow development process.
Prioritizing accessibility
The app should be accessible to as many people as possible, including those with visual, hearing, or other disabilities. Consider the use of contrasting colors, clear typography, and alternative text for images.
Overall, a well-designed design system can greatly improve the experience of the app by providing consistency, prioritizing user needs and goals, and creating an aesthetically pleasing and memorable brand identity.
